Press Release: SQOLOGY is adding Mobile Audio Sound Quality (MASQ) as a format and event series to its list of competition offerings, alongside and in cooperation with the IASCA SQC. MECA SQL, and EMMA Sound Quality formats.

MASQ — founded as Red River Shootout, by Howard Cantor and Robert McIntosh in 2016 — began as a local series of events, supported by a handful of retailers, enthusiasts, and competitors, in Texas and Oklahoma, working in conjunction with other competition organizations, with its own set of rules and scoresheets.  It has been growing since.

The goal of adding MASQ to the SQOLOGY umbrella is to support the excellent foundation laid in Texas and Oklahoma, as well as augment the sound quality meets and competitions presently offered by SQOLOGY.

“The opportunities to diversify our offerings for enthusiasts and retailers with this format are fantastic,” exclaimed Klifton Keplinger, co-founder of SQOLOGY, “Howard Cantor and Robert McIntosh, with the support of some outstanding retailers, have created something that reaches the enthusiasts and competitors, and it’s our honor to support the movement they’ve started.”

“SQOLOGY has made great strides in recent years to promote sound quality competition and MASQ is honored to partner with them in the coming seasons as another format for competitors to choose from. With SQOLOGY promoting the biggest shows in the country and MASQ having the most modern rule set, we feel this will be a big win for competitors.” said Robert McIntosh, of MASQ.
