Press Release (Edited): CITY OF INDUSTRY, CA–Cadence is proud to announce two new loudspeakers that handle the middle range of the music spectrum, between 500 Hz-4 kHz, probably the most important range of frequencies for most audible sounds, as musical instruments and the human voice are produced here.
The new XM 644 Vi ($ 39.99 MSRP) and XM 844 Vi ($49.99 MSRP) get the most power out of the amplifier (2 ohms vs 4 ohms) and benefit from added loudness from their parallel voice coil connections. They are designed for 75-100 watts of RMS power and peak power handling of 150 -200 watts each. They offer a slim design for easier installation and come with an additional 1-year warranty when installed by a dealer with 30-day over the counter exchange.
Other speaker features:
- Treated accordion surround provides great damping for a balanced, warm tonal response and excellent voice coil control.
- Carbon matrix pulp cone is super light yet very strong inch per inch. It facilitates faster response and pinpoint precision.
- Unique Xenith phasing technology synchronizes the center wave and outer edge wave to minimize coloration.
- The motor structure has been revised using FEA analysis to provide low distortion output at both low and higher power levels.
“The market is getting tougher and we need to provide the consumers more for their money. Manufacturers and dealers need to work together,” said a Cadence spokesman.
Cadence claims its products offer the highest margins on the market.
