AudioControl will announce at the KnowledgeFest trade show this week, two new 5-channel amplifiers and a line of Load Generating Devices.

The amplifiers add a 5-channel offering to AudioControl’s recent LC- and D-series amplifiers. They provide 1300 watts of total system power and digital signal processing (DSP).

The new Load Generating Devices (LGDs) enable technicians to add aftermarket audio components to OEM audio systems from Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Maserati.

The two new 5-channel amplifiers both offer 125 watts X 4-channels RMS at 4-Ohm (200 watts RMS X 4 at 2-Ohm) and 500 watts mono at 2-Ohm along with eight speaker level inputs with selectable summing capability. The D-5.1300 delivers onboard DSP control of all amplified outputs and a pair of low-level outputs. The DSP interface is managed by a DM Smart App designed for all AudioControl DSP amplifiers. The LC-5.1300 offers the same performance without the DSP.

The AudioControl AC-LGD20 load generating device works with Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Maserati audio systems without an amplifier. Its companion, the AC-LGD60 LGD, works with models from the same car makes that come equipped with an amplifier.  LGDs “fool” certain OEM systems into thinking a speaker is connected (simulates the resistive load of a speaker), enabling installers to add aftermarket amplifiers to an OEM system.

The amplifiers will be shown at KnowledgeFest in a BMW demo vehicle designed and built by Gary Biggs at booth 625, August 9-11.

AudioControl will be offering training seminars at Knowledgefest on Friday, August 9th, (1:45 pm – 2:45 pm) in Meeting Room: C146 and Saturday, August 10th, 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm in Meeting Room: C155 Click here to Reserve Your Seat
