A super low-priced deal on CarPlay from Amazon is among the Pre-Black Friday specials advertised this week.

Amazon is running a deal on a Power Acoustik CarPlay deck for $169.99.  The model CP-650 is mechless (no CD/DVD) and has a 6.5-inch screen.

Best Buy’s “Early Access” sale, (ending midnight tonight Tuesday) takes $100 off Best Buy’s every day price for CarPlay/Android Auto decks from Kenwood, Alpine and Sony plus free installation.  And from Pioneer, the sale features a CarPlay/Android Auto deck for $324.99, down from Best Buy’s usual $499 price tag.
From Slangin Sound, AZ we saw a doorbuster special advertised on a Pioneer with 6.2-inch touchscreen, AV radio with DVD for $79.99.
While the above are Pre-Black Friday sales, we’re starting to see true Black Friday doorbusters advertised from members of MESA, the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America buying/marketing group.
Two specials include:
  • A Pioneer CarPlay/Android Auto deck with 7-inch screen for $275 claiming a savings of $325, (although industry members say the everyday price for the piece is typically $349).
  • A Kenwood eXcelon AV receiver with Android Auto wireless and 6.95-inch screen listed on special at $349.99 for a savings of $350.

Both were offered with a free backup camera.

We saw a doorbuster preview for a Viper 2-way remote start system, (which confirms the car was started) with up to 1 mile range with bypass for $399 installed and Compustar 2-way systems for $349 and $499 installed.

At least two MESA members said they will offer DVD receivers from top tier brands as low as $149/$159.

Two-way remote start is  expected to be a big draw over Black Friday and Cyber Monday said Mehdi Naramanian of Sound of Tristate, DE.  “We’re going to try to get the consumers looking for step-up products, not just the inexpensive one-way [remote starts].  A lot of customers are very familiar with remote start and they are seeing the benefits of two-way with good range.” The three store chain is also pushing backup cameras for a dollar, but making money on the labor to install them.
