Directed announced the launch of a new rewards program for salesmen and installers on its SmartStart and Powersports GPS products.
Through the end of the year, salespeople and installers can earn up to $20 for each eligible unit sold. Users receive a gift card at the end of each month for the cash they’ve earned.
The program applies to all Viper SmartStart, Directed SmartStart and Viper Powersports GPS products.
While the program starts with SmartStart and Powersports GPS, the rewards program will be re-evaluated every quarter and different products may receive incentives in the future, said Directed’s Geoff Weathersby.
Remote start-from-a-phone has been gaining consumer attention, he said. “We’ve seen the growth in SmartStart, especially the significant growth in use of the SmartStart app with our DS4 Bluetooth system. This is the year we’re focusing on increasing the growth of SmartStart so it’s not just local Bluetooth, but also the upsell to SmartStart [cellular]. So, we’re putting our money where our mouth is and sharing that with our dealers and installers,” Weathersby said.
To collect rewards, users log in to Directed Rewards, claim the reward by entering an eligible Air ID.

The program is open to Directed dealers in the US and Canada. Store managers can register their salespeople and installers by filling out an authorization form to opt-in and to receive a registration code.
