Two super high end car audio brands are now available in the US under a relatively new distributor called Audio Excellent, founded by Emilios Mandalios formerly of Dynaudio.

Audio Excellent distributes the Sinfoni and Audio Development brands, with products soaring above the $5K mark, both made and designed in Italy.

Sinfoni includes speakers starting at $785 a pair, heading up to the “mid $6,000 range, and Sinfoni amplifiers range from $1,050 to $12,500.  Sinfoni started as a high end amplifier company 20 years ago in Italy.

Audio Development, 24 years old, offers speakers only, but a broad lineup starting at $449 for a pair of coaxials up to $5,000 for a full three-way component system.

“These are very high end brands.  Everything is designed and manufactured and truly 100 percent made in Italy…It means the companies are able to maintain complete control and the passion behind what we do.  You get speakers that not only very musical, but very neutral and accurate,” claimed Mandalios.

Audio Excellent also distributes home audio and currently works with about 30 to 40 home and car audio dealers in the US, more than half of which are car audio dealers.

Dealers include Beach Auto Sound Huntington Beach, CA; Mobile Toys, College Station, TX; Sound in Motion Waltham, MA and Titan Motoring, Nashville, TN.

Sinfoni just began shipping a new Heritage line of Class A amplifiers called the Precision 1 and Precision 2.  As Class A amps, there is no switching as in a typical AB amplifier.  Power ratings are 45 watts RMS by 2 for the Precision 1 at $1,100 and 65 watts RMS by 2 for the Precision 2 at $1,500.

Sinfoni also released a 20th Anniversary series of 6.5 inch mid woofers with 1 inch tweeters, of which 600 were produced worldwide.

Under Audio Development is the Neo series of shallow drivers including the w800NEO with 2.2 inch mounting depth. Power handling is a very conservative 100 watts RMS.  There’s also a Vipera F6 6.5 mid bass driver with 1.1 inch of excursion, rated at 300 watts.  It claims to be known for its high performance but low distortion.

  1. Really big fan of the Sinfoni amplifiers. I was fortunate enough to have heard all the way to the peak of their offerings. Personally owning Ignot 1&2 and a Presto Ad-lib proves I have no problem putting my money where my mouth is. Great sounding gear.
