John A. Minnucci, lifelong resident of Marlborough MA and former partner at New England 12 volt manufacturers’ rep firm Team Northeast, died suddenly in Yuma AZ on Sunday, May 20. He was just 61.

Minnucciwas one of the territory’s most beloved reps. Upon entering a store he was often greeted with endearing shouts of “Ma-Nooch” with the fervor met by Norm coming into “Cheers”.

“We always looked forward to seeing him,” said Tom Cauley, the now retired owner of Audio Experts of Dover MA. “And I nearly always gave him an order often simply because he asked for it.”

More than merely an accomplished salesman, John parlayed his education and love of electronics into being regarded as an important technical resource for his customers. This was especially true as 12 volt integration grew more complex.

Minnucci was an avid outdoorsman. He especially loved boating and deep sea fishing. One of his frequent fishing mates was Chuck Herring–owner of Paladin Inc., a 12 volt distributor in South Portland ME. “In my office John took care of business but once we shoved off it was all about the fish.” recalled Herring.

Minnucci also enjoyed golf, billiards and camping. He was fulfilling a bucket list retirement dream of camping his way across America when he suffered a fatal stroke while visiting Yuma.

He is survived by his mother Ruth Mannucci, his son William H. Minnucci II, siblings Ginny Benedetto and Joseph Minnucci, grandson Max F. Minnucci in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday, June 11, from 4 to 7pm at Morris Southborough Funeral Home, 40 Main Street, Southborough MA.

A funeral home service will be held at Morris Southborough Funeral Home, on Tuesday, June 12, at 11 am.  Burial will follow in the Southborough Rural Cemetery.
