UConnect Goes Haywire

An over the air update to UConnect systems went haywire recently, causing the infotainment on certain Dodge, Jeep, and Chrysler vehicles to constantly reboot every 30 to 60 seconds, reports Jalopnik, citing a stream of comments from angry users on Twitter Monday.

The software update last Friday caused even new vehicles to experience not only the loss of radio functions, but also rear view camera access, navigation, CarPlay and Android Auto and some climate control functions.

Auto Connected Car News later reported that UConnectcares tweeted that the problem is related to SiriusXM Travel Link services, which is in the process of being disabled.  A permanent fix is in the works. Info will be posted at @UConnectcares.
