Tint World is preparing to test home audio/video, home automation and other home services through two of its franchise stores.
The company is currently working with audio/video vendors and establishing dealer training programs.
Tint World will sell home audio/video components at the stores under the trial including receivers and soundbars.
CEO Charles Bonfiglio said, “We already have home services with window tinting. We do flat glass and ceramic coatings now and when we’re in the home, we get requests for other services. We want to get into home automation and audio/video, or about 3 or 4 categories in electronics. With that comes training, sales, marketing, vendor support and getting new people out in the field.”
Tint World will reveal more on its program in coming months.
The chain also announced its first franchisee to reach $2 million in sales for a given year is Tint World in Medford, NY (Long Island) owned by Timothy and Stacy Kjaer. The shop has been in operation for four years, and grossed $1 million in sales in its first year. The Kjaers are currently looking to open a second Tint World location.
