Feature Story:

Directed announced the launch of its first powersports alarm and GPS tracker designed for motorcycles, boats, ATVs, snowmobiles and other powersport vehicles.

The alarm is compact and waterproof with small remote transmitters, each with 2 buttons.  The transmitters are also water resistant.

The alarm includes a Closed Loop Trigger, which can protect helmets and other valuables.  Once the Closed Loop Trigger is broken, the Viper Powersports Alarm will activate.

Additional features include onboard shock and tilt sensors, an extra trigger input and an auxiliary input.

The Viper Powersports Alarm (3121V) includes the main module with wiring, and two one-way remotes plus a miniature water resistant siren.

Directed CEO Bob Struble said, “With the 3121V, Directed has brought the performance synonymous with the Viper name to the world of powersports.”

The new alarm is joined by a new Viper Powersports GPS Tracker that offers quick installation

It works with an app that lets you track the vehicle from your phone.  Users can also get Tilt, Tow and Tamper alerts and can directly control starter disable from the app.

The GPS Tracker is small and water-resistant with ultra low current consumption and it provides a starter disable output.

It also allows smart fencing alerts, speed alerts, and low battery alert plus a built-in battery with tamper alert.

The new Viper Powersports Alarm and GPS Tracker (VPS450) will carry suggested retail prices of $199.99 and $249.99, respectively.  The GPS Tracker includes one year of free service. Renewal of service thereafter is $49.99 annually.  Both the alarm and GPS tracker are expected to ship in Q1 2018
