Phoenix Gold announced it is shipping its WiFi DSP to dealers this week, with Ultimate Auto in Orlando, FL, receiving the first new DSP8.8.

The DSPS.8 permits lossless audio and Hi-Res Audio streaming via WiFi. Users can plug a USB drive directly into the unit for playback or stream from an iOS or Android device.

The DSP8.8 also uses WiFi to interface with a tablet, PC or Mac to tune and control the car’s sound system.  Using a tablet, for example, you can regulate voltage and change channels.  And your smartphone can be a remote control for the DSP.

Suggested retail price for the DSP8.8 is $900.

Features:

  • 8-channel high level inputs with signal sense turn-on • 6-channel low level inputs • WiFi™ module included for connectivity • Real time DSP tuning via graphic user interface controlled by iOS, Android, Mac and Windows PC apps • Aux input (high level for external Bluetooth™/NAVI or 3.5mm) • USB input for uncompressed audio streaming • 240 bands of parametric EQ adjustment (30 bands per output channel) • DRC: multi-function, dash mountable remote control for volume, sub level, EQ preset and illumination included
