Harman Launches IoT for Cars

Harman announced a new Ignite platform for car makers that can control home and car functions and can also connect to city infrastructure.

Harman launched this new Internet of Things (IoT) for-the-car platform just prior to CES Wednesday. It lets car makers use the cloud to communicate between the car and smart homes and smart cities and it also permits vehicle to vehicle (V2V) communication.

It also provides vehicle health diagnostics and allows car sharing and ride sharing.  It further allows over the air car updates and more.

Harman is displaying during CES at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas.
