GCH Automotive announced a new backup camera and multi-camera kit for the latest General Motors vehicles using the 7-inch radio IOB/IOA platform. The kit also provides a cargo view camera option.

The GM7cam-k1 reverse/multi-camera kit adds a reverse back up camera input for the 2016-2017 Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra  trucks fitted with the newest model 7-inch LCDs.   It also provides 3 additional camera inputs.  These include turn signal inputs (left/right) and a speed activated front input that auto activates at speeds less than 10 mph.

The kit will work on the Malibu, Cruze, Camaro and other 7-inch IOB/IOA trim vehicles to come.

The kit also has a cargo view camera option to work with GCH’s CHMSL (Cabin High Mount Stop Light, or third brake light) that will launch in January 2017.  When in reverse a cargo icon appears on the screen and when pushed, it will switch the input to the CHMSL camera.

“GCH is committed to providing the latest in innovations and integration and will continue to offer solutions such as these to further progress in our industry and the safety product category,” said GCH Owner Greg Delgado.

Suggested retail price for the GM7cam-k1 is $799 (reverse camera included).
