Diamond Audio will introduce at the SEMA Show a new car speaker system handcrafted in Italy.

The flagship Diamante Italia Edition 3-way component speaker system that was developed and engineered at Diamond’s acoustic research center in a joint venture with TAC Srl, a speaker manufacturing plant in Tuscany, Italy.

“Partnering with some of the best acoustical and audio engineers in the world with more than 100 years of combined experience in the audio field, this was a challenging yet fulfilling project resulting in one of the finest sounding speakers in the industry…”said Larry Frederick of Diamond’s New Product Development team.

The HEX PRO Diamante HXPRO653DI was designed to reproduce musical instruments and vocals as naturally as possible.

Diamond said, “The speakers deliver the widest band of midrange frequency,” and “superior mid-bass response.”

The basket was constructed from a solid block of precision CNC machined aluminum for the midrange speakers, as well as the tweeter and external crossover casing.

The HEX PRO 6.5” midbass speaker uses a 1.25” voice coil while the 3” midrange speaker uses a 1” voice coil. The tweeter combines a 1” silk dome with a Kapton former and a neo-magnet motor structure.

Power handling is 180W RMS;  sensitivity is 89dB 1W/1m with a frequency response of 40Hz – 20 kHz.  Nominal impedance is 3.3Ω and crossover frequencies are 500 – 5 kHz  12dB/Octave.

The expected retail price for the HXPRO653DI is $2,599.99 while a new HX653DI model will be $1,199.99.   The speakers will be on display at the SEMA Show Booth #11961 in the North Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center November 1-4.
