Polaris announced the RIDE COMMAND, a Bluetooth radio with a 7-inch screen that can connect to a user’s phone.

It is available on the 2017 RZR XP 1000 EPS Velocity Blue Limited Edition.

The radio works with several other accessories that can be controlled from the radio screen.

Users can operate the touch screen even with a glove on.  The radio includes AM/FM radio and the ability to receive text and call notifications on the screen.  You can add front and rear optional cameras including a GoPro camera that can be controlled from the display.

There is also a RIDE COMMAND app to track other riders in your group when they are out of viewing range. The app also offers mapping and other features.

“Off-roading is often intended to be a social experience, but in reality, it can be a disconnected one when you can’t communicate with other people in your vehicles or in your ride group,” explained Matt Homan, President, Off-road Vehicles, Polaris.

RIDE COMMAND also integrates with a Bluetooth-enabled accessory Sena headset system, which allows riders to speak to and hear passengers.

RIDE COMMAND is available as an accessory for select RZR vehicles for $1,499.99 for the display and $199.99 for the mount kit, in addition to in the RZR XP 1000 EPS Velocity Blue Limited Edition, available for $20,999.

The Polaris RZR  is the number one selling side-by-side recreational vehicle.
