As more suppliers offer digital signal processors, DSPs, pricing is starting to become more competitive on the devices that can cost $800 and higher.
Mosconi said it is now lowering prices of its three DSPs by $100 or more. This follows price reductions by Audison last July.
In the past year more than a half dozen suppliers have launched their first DSPs or their first in many years.
Mosconi said the price reduction was the first since it introduced the processors in 2012.
The Mosconi 6to8 goes from $799 to $699, the Mosconi 4o6 SP-Dif goes from $649 to $549 and the Mosconi 4to6 moves from $579 to $499.
