Street Glow is shipping an LED headlight conversion system with an advanced high beam than projects 30 to 50 percent farther than an OEM halogen, it said.
The plug and play XHP series conversion kit allows the consumer to upgrade their existing halogen bulb to a more reliable LED that is also brighter at 6000 Lumens.
Street Glow President Jack Panzarella said, “Everyone is focused on Lumens and brightness, which is fine, and we achieve it, but we also, when in high beam, redirect the beam pattern so you get the proper high beam effect.”
A special lens redirects the beam pattern downward when inside the housing, so when you light up the LED, it angles up slightly so that you can see farther out ahead for a true high beam effect. Without the special lens, “you get a brighter light inside your housing, but it doesn’t project,” said Panzarella.
The XHP series uses a CREE XHP50 LED chip, mounted on aviation grade 6063 aluminum. It has a patented beam selector dial to choose your beam pattern.
The XHP is available in single beam and dual beam (low and high beam) versions.
