Rydeen Mobile Electronics is now shipping a dash cam with motion sensing for continual monitoring of the car, even while it is parked and unattended.
If the PVR5D detects an object or person within a given range it will begin recording video with up to 1080p resolution.
It has a 1.5 inch LCD screen for playback. It files may also be played back (as .mov files) on a PC.
It comes with an 8GB microSD card for over 2 hours of recording at 720P and the dash cam accepts cards of up 32GB.
It is designed for installation in OEM locations.
The PVR5D, which won a CES Innovation Award, has a suggested retail price of $299.
