First 12V Distributor Group Names Initial Suppliers

The Elite Distributor Alliance, the first car audio distributor group, has named the first four suppliers who will work with its members.

Race Sport Lighting (automotive lighting), Atrend (subwoofer enclosures), Scorpion (window film) and FIT (OE integration products) were named as the first Elite vendors during CES last week.

The group is also in discussions with many car audio vendors in many different categories, said Elite director Ray Windsor.

Elite (EDA) is owned by its distributor members. The distributors provide vendors with a group commitment to inventory purchases in exchange for a discount. The group benefits retailers, in turn, as the distributors now stock a better flow of inventory with improved margins for retailers.

EDA officers include newly elected President Josh Eatherly of P & E Distributors. Other officers include VP Craig Breinholt of Mountain West; Treasurer Kevin Holder of Ultimate Marketing and Secretary George McGoldrick of AM Distributors.
