Pioneer Electronics announced five new NEX car audio receivers for 2016, all with CarPlay and/or Android Auto as well as the ability to integrate deeper into the car’s data center.
All five new models work with CarPlay and three of the models are Android Auto compatible.
All models now have expanded iDatalink support, so when used with an optional iDatalink module the radios can work with factory parking assist cues, and climate controls. They can also show vehicle info such as tire pressure and diagnostic codes and performance gauges.
The top of the line AVIC-8200 offers both CarPlay and Android Auto capability as does the step down AVIC-7200 and the AVH-4200NEX.
The new line ships in March at suggested retail prices of $,1400 for the AVIC-8200NEX, $1,200 for the 7200NEX, $900 for the 6200NEX, $750 for the 5200NEX and $700 for the AVH-4200NEX.
