Glenn McCarthy has been appointed head of business development for Cadence Sound, where he will oversee a reorganization of the company.

McCarthy also remains the head of Deccon International’s OEM/ODM business development. Deccon is a manufacturing facility in Shipai, China that is run as an independent business to Cadence although both companies are owned by Vincent Chen.

Cadence is undergoing a full scale reorganization of products and programs. The company  is moving to an all-manufacturers rep sales force (with no direct or house accounts).

It will enhance its role in powersports audio and will show more than a dozen marine and powersports products at CES next month that are due to ship this spring.

Cadence says it will be bringing products to market faster than in the past, taking advantage of its direct access to the factory.

McCarthy said, “I enjoy bringing my tireless energy to companies that are in need of a Re-Boot. I am ready to get this party started as this venture will be both fun and exciting. Stop by booth # 2838 at CES and see what’s cooking.”

McCarthy will maintain his Pacific Northwest office.
