Brandmotion announced a new Curb-Alert  that not only beeps as you near a curb but also shows a view of the front of the car to help with parking.

The Curb-Alert Park View PRO uses a small, weatherproof sensor that mounts beneath the bumper, along with a high-resolution camera that shows a wide-angled view of the area in front of the car.

Once an object is detected, the Curb-Alert beeps and triggers a connected radio display or monitor to turn on for 10 seconds.

The display can be configured to show park grid lines.  And the system can be adjusted to to detect objects from between 12 and 28 inches.

It connects to any aftemarket display with RCA inputs. It also works with factory cameras when used with Brandmotion camera interfaces for select Ford, Chrysler and GM vehicles.

Curb-Alert started as a product for Corvette owners who wanted to avoid damage to their cars.  “A small curb tap on a Z06 can cost as much as $4,000 to repair,” said Brandmotion’s Jeff Varick.  “Now anyone who is anxious about how close they can park to a garage wall or curb can have an automatic set of eyes to guide them…”

The Curb-Alert Park View PRO has a suggested retail price of $249.95.  For more information visit www.brandmotion.com.
