Wet Sounds announced what it calls the first WiFi network for boaters or ATV or UTV drivers.
It’s new A-Link system works over 2.4GHZ wireless to allow a group of boaters or riders to all listen to the same audio.
Many people ride or boat in packs, and when they stop and rest, they can now share music, “instead of everyone blasting their own music,” said Wet Sounds.
The A-Link system works over about 150 foot range. It includes a wireless module that goes into the aux in jack of a radio as well as receivers for other boats or vehicles.
The system uses rechargeable lithium ion batteries for 7 hours of playing time.
A prototype was shown at SEMA with shipping planned for next month.
Pricing is estimated at $129.99 for the A-Link kit and $69.99 for additional receivers.
