Firstech, makers of Compustar and DroneMobile announced it won a CES Innovation Award for the DroneMobile RSD-3100AS Smartphone Remote Start and Security System.
The system lets you start your engine from your smartphone with a fully customizable remote start and security system that can be controlled from the DroneMobile smartphone app.
Jason Kaminski, Director of Sales & Business Development said of the award, “As more customers and retailers demand smartphone applications to replace the traditional key fobs and remote starters, we at Firstech are excited to be on the cutting edge of connected car solutions.”
Available for iOS and Android, the app sends users a push notification or text message whenever the system’s shock sensor or accelerometer detects impact, tilt, or forward/backward movement.
The RSD-3100AS is compatible with all vehicles, including stick-shifts and diesels. A subscription is required starting at about $3/mo.
Firstech also won the ‘Top Vendor of Security and Convenience Products’ by ME Magazine in August.
The RSD-3100AS will be displayed at the 2015 International CES, which runs Jan. 6-9, 2015 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
