Here are three more award winning car audio & electronics products at the SEMA Show last week.
Two were runners up for the Best New Mobile Electronics Product at the SEMA Show last week. As reported earlier, App-Tronics took the top award in the category.
Runners Up were:

Custom Autosound Manufacturing—Slidebar Radio
For classic cars (pre-1980), the Slidebar radio looks like a retro AM/FM chrome pushbutton radio, but when you push a slidebar, the radio converts to a modern digital display. The back of the radio has a USB port, iPod interface and aux-in as well as a CD changer port, subwoofer output and 4-channel output. It’s available for about 7 different cars with more under development. Suggested retail price is $299.

Palmer Performance Engineering—DashLogic Display Controller
An OBD2 module lets users choose the car data they send to the car’s heads up display or DIC (Driver Information Center). Enthusiasts can view readouts for air fuel ratio, tire pressure and up to 100 other car performance characteristics. The winning model works with the C6 Corvette, which comes with an HUD option to display the readouts. Palmer also makes systems for the Chevy Cobalt, Cruze, and Camaro, with other models to be addressed in the future. Suggested retail price is $249.95.
(Another version of the system uses a generic OBD2 device and sends car performance and engine code information to a smartphone or tablet running a $9.95 app).
Global Media Award Winner

Maxxsonics–MB Quart Marine Speakers
Another award presented at SEMA is the Global Media Award, judged by members of the International press from among 2,000 of the new products shown at SEMA. Maxxsonics won Global Media awards for two MB Quart marine audio speakers: the NK1-116L 6.5 inch coaxial with illumination and the 8-inch, 2-way wakeboard speaker NK1-120 with 60 watts RMS power handling.
SEMA Product Showcase Award

Kicker received a New Product Showcase Award for its PSM3 Mini-Enclosed Speaker System which provides audio in powersports vehicles. It includes a pair of 3-inch drivers enclosed in chrome-plated speaker pods.
