Pioneer said a dozen of the apps that work with its AppRadio car decks are not yet compatible with the new Apple iOS8 that just became available.
Affected are AppRadios and DVD receivers and navigation radios with AppRadio mode.

Under iOS 8, the dozen apps are “unstable” and a few have screen display issues.

For the 9 apps below, Pioneer said the connection is unstable when you use the in-app keyboard. These apps are:

– AppRadio
– AppRadioLIVE
– Waze
– ECTouch
– CarBrowser
– DashCommand
– ExtraMile
– Beej
– Parkopedia
For the apps ESCORT Live, My PV and MIXTRAX, Pioneer cited problems with “general stability and/or display related issues.”

iPhones affected include the iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5, iPhone 4s and iPod touch (5th generation).

  1. I find it hard to believe that after having access to the Beta versions of iOS8 that on launch day that many apps would have problems. It seems like the developers are just waiting until full release before actually testing or working on improvements and adjustments to work with OS updates.
