CLEARWATER, FLAAMP of America announced that its staff now includes three (MECP) Master Installation Technicians.

Master Installation Technician level is the highest credential offered by MECP and is achieved only by mobile electronics professionals who have at least three years of experience and dedication to their craft.

AAMP’s  MECP Master Installation Technicians are Ernie Hartman, Rick Costello and Tony Tassillo.  Tassillo was the latest of the three to earn his certification as of June 30.

Hartman was certified in February of 2011 and re-certified on June 30 to stay up-to-date.  Costello was certified in 2012.

AAMP also hosted its first ever MECP testing day on August 1st at the company’s Florida headquarters.  Sixteen installers from throughout southwest and central Florida – including the new members of the AAMP of America tech support team and the company’s corporate trainer – attended the two testing events, with Costello and Hartman acting as proctors for the exams.

AAMP of America will be exploring additional testing sessions in the future, based on demand.

According to the MECP website (www.mecp.com) there are a total of 275 MECP Master Installation Technicians in the USA, Canada and Mexico, including 29 in Florida.
