The Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) announced it is developing a report on products offered by the consumer electronics industry that make driving safer. It is encouraging suppliers of this technology to submit descriptions to the CEA for inclusion.
The report will educate consumers about the products and services that aid drivers and it will be released at the 2015 CES, January 6-9. It will collect and categorize the technologies available from apps that limit cellphone use to technology that detects when a driver is drowsy.
Companies that offer driver safety products or services may submit descriptions of their technology for inclusion in the report. Interested entities must submit a Word document containing the product or service description (maximum 750 words) to [email protected]. Graphic images (jpg format preferred) are also welcome.
The deadline for submitting content is Friday, August 15, 2014, at 5 PM PDT. All content will be edited and approved by CEA and its Portable, Handheld and In-Vehicle Electronics Committee.
