Audiofrog, a new car audio company co-founded by industry veteran, Andy Wehmeyer, formerly of Harman, announced two leading industry members Gary Biggs and Chris “Grizz” Archer will help manage the company.

Biggs has held posts at both Harman and Kicker and Archer has held posts at Epsilon Electronics and MTX Audio.

Biggs will serve as VP of Audiofrog and Archer joins as Director of International Sales and Support.

Audiofrog is a new upscale brand for car audio specialists expected to release its first products in the US this year at MERA’s Knowledgefest. The product lines include speakers and subwoofers initially with amplifiers and signal processors to follow.  The products are designed in California with distribution worldwide.

Audiofrog is focused on high end performance, best in class customer support and a friendly business model that works in today’s market. The products are uniquely designed with installation features “sure to appeal to novice and the most seasoned installers,” it said.

Both Biggs and Archer have competed with their own cars in IASCA, MECA, USACi, and dB Drag Racing and have led successful competition teams in the United States and abroad. Both are reputed experts in system design, custom installation and troubleshooting.

“My three-decade obsession with car audio has prepared me for this opportunity, said Archer. “I’m honored to work closely with some of the greatest guys in the industry.  It’s going to be a fun ride!”

Wehmeyer said as car audio returns to a focus on an older demographic and audio enthusiasts, “I think the future of the category is bright. A new breed of installation specialist is emerging all over the world and these new retailers are eager for high-end audio solutions from a company committed to friendly partnerships and easy-to-understand business practices. Gary and Grizz have the right experience and temperament to provide the friendly and straightforward support that will be the key to the brand’s success.”

Biggs said, “Many of these guys in the industry are exactly where I was 25 years ago. I’m eager to give back some of what I’ve learned. This is a great hobby and a fun career if you love cars and music.”
