CORRECTED: CLEARWATER, FL–iSimple (AAMP of America) has updated the InSeam, an interface that adds a Bluetooth connection to select vehicles to provide streaming audio and hands-free calling through the car’s sound system, controlled through the car’s steering wheel buttons.
The new InSeam integrates two steering wheel control wires so that it can also control volume from the steering wheel controls. The original used a single-wire connection to the steering wheel that did not permit control over volume from the steering wheel buttons.
The device lets users perform advanced infotainment functions including the ability to send text messages, update social media status, launch apps and more using the smartphone’s voice control (including Siri, S-Voice or Google Now).
It works with a free app (on iTunes and Google Play) that helps with the setup of the system and activating driver safety features.
The InSeam has a suggested retail price of $189.95 and may be added to select factory radios.
