LONG BEACH, CA–Pioneer Electronics said its new line of ib-Flat shallow subwoofers designed for small enclosures and limited depth applications is now available.
The line is Pioneer’s fourth generation of shallow subs. It was re-engineered for better power handling and output, and also higher sensitivity. The new subwoofers are especially designed for those who want more bass in the bottom three octaves (20Hz-160Hz) but do not have the room or don’t want a large subwoofer.
The ib-Flat has a mounting depth of less than 3.25-inches and includes the models TS-W3002S4 12-inch, TS-SW2502S4 10-inch, and TS-SW2002D2 8-inch speakers.
Features includes a highly rigid convex oversized Mica reinforced cone and a dual spider suspension plus 4-layer voice coil.
The 8-inch sized TS-SW2002D2 has an outer basket stamped with a variety of mounting holes for easy drop-in replacement of a car’s original speakers.
The ib-Flat subwoofers are priced from $140 to $180.
Enclosures for the subs range in price from $60 to $200.
