TEMPE, AZ-–Rockford is adding a new 5-channel marine amplifier this year and is also showing new marine products under the Blaupunkt brand during CES.
Rockford will ship this quarter a 5-channel, 1,200 watt RMS marine grade Prime Series amplifier, model M600-5 with independent front, rear, and subwoofer outputs. It has a marine grade chassis that withstands salt spray, fog and other corrosive elements at $499.95.
Under Blaupunkt is a new marine radio with an optional Bluetooth dongle plus new speakers.
The Blaupunkt products are “designed to precise German standards and marine specifications,” said Rockford. They include the Capri 220 head unit and the “BT UP” audio streaming add-on dongle. The dongle lets you upgrade a non-Bluetooth radio and measures about 2 x 1 x 1/2 inch. It has a suggested retail price of $49.99.” and will ship in Q1 2014.
The Capri 220 source unit has an AM/FM radio, USB, and waterproof face and construction at $159.99 suggested retail price.
The MSx Series coaxial marine 4 0hm impedance speakers come in 4, 5.4 and 6.5 inch sizes at prices from $64.99 to $79.99.
