Firstech, maker of Compustar and DroneMobile remote starters has relaunched the FTX expediter version of its remote start line up for car dealers.
The new FTX line now offers OEM grade product and a greatly expanded product line.
Until recently, the FTX brand offered only a few transmitters for remote starters. This year, the line has been expanded to include 14 all-in-one systems (including the remote start brain) so that car dealers can more easily market them. They work with T-harness solutions that simplify installation into specific car models.
The FTX remote start systems also include T-harnesses for BMW and Mercedes-Benz vehicles, using ADS solutions.
The FTX remotes are unbranded so they are more attractive to car dealers. The all in one systems are available for Chrysler, Ford, and GM vehicles. Each bundle comes in two versions: basic and advanced, where the latter includes 2-way remotes that confirm commands from up to 4000 feet away.
Firstech said it is devoting more resources to FTX, which is no longer a simple “rebranding of retail grade product.” It also developed a web site showing the different cars that work with different FTX products at OEMremotestart.com.
