MESA, the Mobile Electronics Specialists of America car audio buying/marketing group, has added sound processors as a new category for product vendors it partners with, and its first vendor in the category will be AudioControl.
All of AudioControl processors, including those that allow consumers to add an aftermarket amplifier to a factory radio, will be available to MESA member retailers starting January 1.
Apart from AudioControl, all MESA vendors partners for 2013 will continue through 2015 for both Gold and Platinum MESA membership levels, said Executive Director Ryan Gunter.
Separately, AudioControl said it will introduce a new processor at CES in January, but details were not available.
MESA, as of early October, had 61 members, comprising 162 storefront locations and representing $168 million in yearly car audio sales across 33 states. It has since added about 10 additional members.
