TORRANCE, CA—Alpine Electronics is encouraging retailers to promote their custom installations of Alpine’s in-dash deck with an extra large (8-inch) screen on social media such as Facebook.
It launched the “Play Big” social media campaign, where dealers post photos on Alpine’s Facebook web site of their installations of Alpine’s INE-Z928HD audio/video/navigation (AVN) radio—the first from a leading brand to offer an 8-inch screen.
The dealer then benefits from Alpine’s Facebook promotions and traffic. Alpine hosts contests to draw in Facebook fans so the dealers receive added exposure.
Alpine has also distributed a 24-page instruction book on social media to its retailers, focusing on Facebook initially (with other versions of the handbook planned for the future).
“Alpine dealers who engage with us on Facebook benefit from our established social media presence and Play Big campaign activities, exposing them to an extended audience of fans who receive exclusive content and opportunities,” said Steve Crawford, vice president and general manager, aftermarket business unit, Alpine Electronics of America, Inc.
