Rosen Electronics  will ship month its first OEM kit for factory radios.

The kit includes a high resolution  touch screen replacement for Nissan/Infiniti radios to add navigation and an optional backup camera to the car.

It works with 10 different Nissan and Infiniti models and is notable in that it permits high resolution graphics (unlike some current low resolution screen overlay kits), said Rosen.

Under Rosen’s new “FIT” line, the kit will be on display at the SEMA show next month.  It retains all the factory audio and information features, said Rosen

It works with factory steering wheel controls, and shows on-screen navigation directions while using the factory sources.

The touchscreen replacement offers 800 x 480 resolution.  For navigation, users get  NavNGo Primo 2.0 Nav software with 11 million Points-Of-Interest, 2D/3D advanced topography and city center view, and lane guidance.

Future kits will work with 2014 Chev/GMC Trucks and SUV’s, 2012-14 Chev Equinox/GMC Terrain, and 2013-14 Buick Enclave/Chev Traverse/GMC Acadia plus other vehicles.

The new FIT kit will ship October 1 at $999 suggested retail price (excluding installation).

“This is a major product initiative at Rosen and a departure from our normal complete multi-media product offering. We’ve spent countless hours assessing the current product landscape and determined there was an opportunity to develop a more refined and simple to install factory interface product that provides ease of use for the vehicle owner. With Rosen integration products the installer won’t need to surgically install delicate components and risk damage to the factory audio and information systems. The Nissan/Infiniti model is the first in an extensive line of factory integration products providing the latest in adaptable and current technologies”, states Steve Weimar, Rosen Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
