The system is designed so specialists can sell remote start-from-a-phone and then offer car tracking as a step up feature.
It works with remote start from many bands including Directed and Compustar as well as Audiovox brands Code Alarm and Prestige.
It has a suggested retail price of $169.99 with 3 months of free service. After that, service is $89.95 per year.
Like the original Car Connection that began shipping a year ago, it also gives you a vehicle health report sent to your phone to learn why the check engine light went on. You are told if you need immediate service.
The product is on display at the KnowledgeFest trade show this week in Dallas.
