Polaris Industries, a leading manufacturer of off-road vehicles, unveiled a new premium audio solution co-developed with MTX Audio for the 2014 RZR XP1000.
The audio system offers a unique audio system aimed at the off-road rider. It includes 3 pieces—an Overhead Audio front enclosure and an Add-on Audio rear enclosure plus a Subwoofer package.
The Overhead Audio system mounts to the front roll bar and includes a 120 watt amplifier, dual full range 6.5-inch component speakers, and source unit that includes AM/FM, Bluetooth, and aux-in, all controlled from a blue backlit LCD display. The speakers are placed to provide maximum output and sound staging to the front passengers. A dry box compartment with a USB charging port offers protection and power for rechargeable electronic devices. The system also features a map light and external antenna input for use on the trail.
The Add-On Audio system provides rear channel staging and mounts to the back roll bar. This system features matching dual 6.5-inch component speakers and 120 watt amplifier. A dry box compartment and secure storage pocket are included providing additional storage space for small items and gear. The Subwoofer MTX’s 10″ high-performance, shallow mount subwoofer and 400 watt internal amplifier. The enclosure installs in the lower front passenger compartment and delivers the low frequency reproduction that brings music to life.
The partnership with MTX Audio was announced Tuesday at Polaris’ annual dealer show in Washington, D.C., where they released their complete product line for 2014.
