JVC Kenwood announced it will ship this month in Japan a DVD/navigation system with a head up display that projects an image on the windshield, near the rear view mirror.
Navigation directions appear on the windshield in an approximate 7 inch image about 2m away from the driver.
The model MDV-737HUD is expected to sell for the equivalent of about $2,500 according to Ubergizmo, but JVC Kenwood has not officially announced a price.
The device plays DVDs and CDs and includes digital TV reception. It also includes Bluetooth, a 3D gyro sensor to assist in location, and it has inputs for an SD card and USB.
