Alpine Electronics said it is now shipping two full-featured receivers with TuneIt—the app for in-car sound tuning and Facebook alerts.

The CDE-HD149BT and CDE-HD148BT radios let you adjust the sound tuning specifically for your car and to view sound tuning on the screen in a graphic display.  Users must download the Alpine TuneIt app and then connect their smartphone to the radio.

Alpine TuneIt also lets users share their sound settings.  The app also notifies you when there’s new posts on your Facebook wall, through an audible alert and a blinking glass button.  The Facebook icon and the sender’s name appear on the screen to remind the driver to check the Facebook account on the phone when the car is parked.

Both new receivers have built-in Bluetooth with audio streaming, HD Radio and both are SiriusXM ready. They offer full Pandora Internet radio control from Android and iPhones martphones.   They also offer basic control of iPhone apps on the radio and they have a rear USB port.
The receivers also ship with a microphone that can mount close to the driver for better hands free calling.

The CDE-HD149BT has a three line full dot matrix display with an estimated suggested retail price of $320.  The CDE-HD148BT has a two line dot display at $280.

They join the CDE-147BT, the first receiver to work with the TuneIt app, which launched earlier this spring.
