Alpine CDE-147BT

Alpine Electronics launched the first of its receivers to work with a new TuneIt App, first introduced at CES in January.

The app provides both sound tuning for the car and Facebook notifications and is now available for iPhone and Android phones.

The CDE-147BT is the first receiver to work with the app.

The TuneIt app gives the user the ability to fine tune the acoustic settings of the car via an easy interface on your smartphone (instead of scrolling on a one-line car radio display).

Settings include a Parametric EQ and Crossover, Time Correction, Bass/Mid/Treble and Media Xpander.  Or you can choose from pre-made settings.  You can also store up to 100 sound settings to work with different types of music. And you can share your settings with others.

TuneIt also alerts you of new activity on your Facebook wall via an audible alert and a blinking glass button on the CDE-147BT car radio.  The sender’s name appears on the screen of the car radio, reminding the driver to check Facebook when the car is parked.

The CDE-147BT can control Pandora on an Android phone or iPhone.  It has rear USB control over an iPod, iPhone or USB and Bluetooth with audio streaming. It is steering wheel control compat aible and is now available at suggested retail index price of $230.
