Car makers are so busy competing with themselves to raise the technology bar, they are frustrating the people who use their radios. For example, Subaru forgot to include a “skip” button to advance through music tracks on its BRZ, leaving drivers to hunt around the touch screen buttons to perform the simple task, said writer Chris Woodyard.

It is oddly comforting to realize that the OEM’s learned nothing from the travails that I believe led to the downfall of the car audio industry. So simple. Every product must pass “the grandma test”. If a normal every day elderly individual can use it with minimal guidance, and without reading a manual; You have a winner. If not? Back to the drawing board.
