PowerBass USA announced an online promotion called the “Power-Play Giveaway” with the popular music website, HipHopDX.com. The contest, which runs April 1-19, will take place on HipHopDX.com, famously known to bring its readers the latest in hip hop news, rumors, album reviews, interviews, editorial and unreleased audio, music videos and mixtapes.
The “Power-Play Giveaway” will award one lucky winner a brand new XL-WB8, PowerBass’ single 8-inch compact loaded bass reflex enclosure. Participants can enter the contest starting today on HipHopDX.com under its “Giveaway” section.
“We’ve made the contest incredibly easy-to-enter,” said Robin McNeal, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for PowerBass USA. “All our fans have to do is visit the giveaway page on HipHopDX.com, enter their name and email address, and boom…you’re qualified to win. It’s that easy!”
In addition, PowerBass and HipHopDX fans who enter the Power-Play Giveaway can instantly double their chances of winning the 8-inch single bass enclosure by going to the PowerBass Facebook page then hit LIKE. No purchase is necessary and the contest is open only to residents within the United States.
The PowerBass XL-WB8 is a new 8-inch, single slot-ported loaded enclosure that was perfectly engineered to fit most vehicles without consuming an enormous amount of space. Versatile and compact, the XL-WB8 features a precision-tuned slot port design for tight bass and designed for space prohibited applications. Just team it with an amplifier and you’ll experience deep bass. The enclosure is made of ½” MDF construction for rigidity and covered in black aviation grade vinyl.
“The XL-WB8 may be small but don’t underestimate it,” says Jason Hannon, Western Regional Sales Manager for PowerBass. “It packs a mean punch.”
According to Hannon, the single 8-inch enclosure handles 200/400 watts of power with a 36Hz to 250Hz frequency response using a single 4-ohm input of nominal impedance. To make sure power gets to the subwoofer, PowerBass product engineers use chrome push terminals for maximum current transfer along with a paper cone for its smooth natural base reproduction, ensuring high output with low distortion.
“We are fired up to partner the ‘Power-Play Giveaway’ with the music industry’s hottest hip hop website,” says Robin McNeal. “PowerBass is made up of an eclectic, diverse and wide-ranging group of music enthusiasts ranging from hip hop to rock, jazz to country, and pop to punk. Hip hop, rap and R&B are huge categories for us so it only makes sense for us to team up with HipHopDX.com.”
