Rockford Fosgate is introducing during CES, 11 new Punch amplifiers that offer a new C.L.E.A.N. system for setting levels.
These join several new Prime series amplifiers and new Prime and Punch Pro speakers.
The C.L.E.A.N. system on the new Punch amplifiers provides on-board input/output clipping indicators that permit the installer to tune the amplifier to the optimum power for the type of performance he wants before clipping occurs.
The new Punch amplifiers also offer more power, on-board integration for source units (both aftermarket and factory), and top mount controls. (See chart below for models, specs and pricing).
Under the Prime line are six new amplifiers that are more installer friendly with improved performance. The cast chassis amps also now have a cosmetic look that consistent throughout the line. Models range from the R150X2 50 x 2 watt (4 ohm) amp at a street price of $119.99 to the R600X5 five-channel model with 50 x 4 watt plus 200 x 1 watt power at $399.99.
Also at CES, Rockford is showing new Prime series coaxial speakers. The speakers offer improved power handling and are Klippel-verified. They have a horn loading design for better off axis sound. The tweeter also has a shallower mount for a cleaner look.
Prime models range from the 4-inch, 2-way R14X2 to the 6 x 9, 3-way R169X3. Power handing ranges from 30 to 65 watts RMS (depending on the model). The line carries street prices from $49.99 to $79.99. Shipping is expected in Q1.
These are joined by new Punch Pro speakers: a PPS4-10 10-inch, single 4 ohm midrange speaker and the PPS8-10 10-inch, single 8 ohm midrange speaker. Both handle 350 watts RMS and each have a suggested retail price of $249.55. They are also Klippel-verified and are joined by two passive crossovers at $99.99 each.
