Kenwood has extended its ability to work with Apple’s Siri voice assistant in its 2013 car radio line up.

Kenwood’s 2013 multimedia radios and many of its CD radios with Bluetooth can control Siri when connected to an iPhone 4S or 5.

The car radio’s Bluetooth microphone allows hands free communication with Siri via the radio.  All Siri functions including setting reminders, handsfree calling, searching for songs on iTunes and sending text messages are enabled through the radio.

Kenwood recommends the phone is plugged in through the USB port, however, with some models, you can communicate with Siri over Bluetooth.

Car CD/radio models compatible with Siri include the KDC-BT55U, KDC-BT655U, KDC-BT755HD, KDC-BT855U, and KDC-BT955U.  They range in suggested retail price from $210 to $310. The radios ship in March, except for the KDC-BT555U, which ships in February.
