XPRESSSTART ONE

Directed is launching at CES an XPRESSSTART ONE system that delivers all the hardware needed for a remote start system and data module in one box for any car.

XPRESSSTART ONE combines an analog remote starter with a data interface module that permits a simple installation in any car including older models as well as new vehicles.  Plus the unit works with any of Directed’s remote transmitters so you don’t have to swap out the remote start when you want to upgrade the keychain remote.

Peter Fazi, VP Development-OEM Integration said, “We developed a solution that integrated the dBALL inside the remote starter.  So now it is universally compatible.  What makes XPRESSSTART ONE unique is it could be installed in a 1986 vehicle or a 2013 model, any trim. And it also offers RF decoders that are compatible with just about any of our Directed remotes.”

The system also lets you add more peripherals to a remote starter such as remote start-from-a-phone (SmartStart) or a passive keyless entry system or optional remotes.

It works with a new “config wizard” that lets installers program the system to a PC with a web connection.

XPRESSSTART ONE is targeted for availability early in Q1 at pricing for feature packages similar to the older models in the analog remote starter and a DBALL format.
