Lightning Audio announced it will launch new car speakers with shallower baskets for direct drop-in speaker replacement.
New are component speaker sets at reduced prices, now at $99.95 compared to $129 to $149 previously, said Lighting, a Rockford brand.
The line also includes 2 and 3-way full range speakers that handle power from 25 to 60 watts RMS (depending on the model). Prices range from $49.95 to $79.95.
The 3 component speakers are the L5-S, 5.25 inch 2-way system ($99.95 MAP); the L675-S 6.75-inch 2-way system ($99.95 MAP) and the LT 5 1/2 –inch tweeter at $49.95. Power handling is rated at 40 watts RMS each.
The 11 model line is scheduled to ship in Q1 of 2013 and it will be displayed during CES January 8 – 10 in Las Vegas at the Rockford suite and The Palms.
