Memphis Car Audio announced it will offer a series of mini amplifiers for special vehicles to ship in January.  Additionally it will deliver its first 3-channel amplifier.

The new “Special Application” amps measure about the size of a paperback book and are intended for use in motorcycles, ATVs or other vehicles.

“It’s no longer enough to expect our dealers to sell car audio for cars and trucks.  We’re going to grow our business by helping our customers to more applications in more vehicles,” said Andy Allen. Director of Product & Marketing.

The amps join a Bluetooth device  for specialty vehicles that Memphis  introduced this summer.

The 16-SA4.50 is a full range Class D amplifier that produces 50Wx4 into 4 ohms at a suggested retail price of $329.00.  It’s twin model 16-SA1.300 is rated at 300Wx1 at 2 ohms with at $299.  Both models have high and low level inputs and fully variable crossovers.

They have die cast aluminum chasses, and at 4.4” wide by 5.4” long and 1.5” high, they can fit side by side into an area smaller than a sheet of paper.
