Soundstream added some more details to its entry into the remote start/security market, which we first reported on earlier this month.
Soundstream, part of The Epsilon Group, said the line is now marketed under the Tarantula brand name.
“Installers asked us for a compact unit loaded with advanced features that was ‘easy” to install, and we feel this lineup meets those core requests,” said Ronnie Brashear, Epsilon Security Sales Manager. “We have a technical support hotline number and we offer an installation wire diagram program.”
The Tarantula line consists of three security systems, AL.1, AL.2 and the AL.3; three remote start products, RS.1, RS.2 and the RS.3, followed by combination systems, ARS.1 and the ARS.2. All remote start and combination products offer dual data ports that are compatible with Fortin and I-Data protocols.
Also, all of the remote start units use a self-contained programming protocol so installers can program the Tarantula units without the need for an Internet connection. All that is required is a computer with a USB port and a cable supplied by Soundstream.
Full product specification may be viewed here.
The line recently began shipping and will be shown at the SEMA Show starting October 30 at the Soundstream Booth (11853) in the North Hall.
