Speaker and amplifier supplier Cerwin-Vega Mobile will branch into new categories for the supplier including car audio head units, accessories and possibly car video at the Consumer Electronics Show in January.
It’s parent company Domestic Investment Group LLC (DIG) said it received a cash infusion from a private equity firm, called CV and DA Holdings, to finance the expansion.
The funding will also help expand Cerwin Vega into markets outside the U.S. said Bob Chanthavongsa, Director of Sales, Worldwide and Larry Frederick, Director of Sales & Marketing, Domestic.
The company said it plans to become more aggressive in car audio and more details will be revealed in January.
DIG is also the parent of car speaker brand Diamond Audio and OEM integration brand Cache.
